Group,
I have a Canon EOS 90D. The EXIF file shows two ISO values: Auto and Base.
I set the ISO to 200 for my picture, and the Auto value is 100, while the Base is 200.
Various sources have claimed that base ISO for this camera is 100. Is the EXIF correct? Also, why state Auto ISO?
I have the Exposure edition
Marc

Dear Sir:
RawDigger is about researching raw data (shadow noise, dynamic range, clipping, etc.), not EXIF/Makernote data. Nominal ISO values are of little value for getting images one wants, as different cameras "apply" ISO speed setting to raw data differently, sometimes not "applying" it at all.
In our 'HOWTOs" https://www.rawdigger.com/howtouse you will find some useful recepies, for example,
- 'Determining pixel charge capacity and amplification gains for a digital camera' at https://www.rawdigger.com/howtouse/pixel-capacity-and-amplifier-gain
- 'Digital camera light meter calibration' at https://www.rawdigger.com/howtouse/lightmeter-calibration
Base ISO and Auto ISO are just rather arbitrary/nominal names, meaning best asked at ExifTool forum https://exiftool.org/forum
