Data scaling and white balance on csv file?

Forums:

Hi,

Is it possible white balancing, gamma and data scaling values on csv file from RD?
I took several shots lensless, one color at a time and combined them in a csv file for profiling.
I suppose pushing (inside excel) the red and blue values with the form factor from the white patch is the way to go for white balancing?
How about gamma and data scaling?

Best regards
George

BasICColor Input & DCP profiles... really ?

Forums:

So, after some break I decided, well, create 3 DCP profiles using CGATS from CCSG target...

BasICColor claims that we can create "Art Repro/Archival", "Repro +", "Photography"

It turns out that BasICColor makes me 3 totally identical _matrix_ profiles when I feed it CGATS data ...

Am I missing something in $500-ish software ?

OK, may be yet another CGATS-related bug... so next I loaded A7R2 raw file from imaging resource...

BasiCColor Input & RawDigger CGATS issues with CC24

BasiCColor Input & RawDigger CGATS issues with CC24

so I repeated the test with the same raw file, scaling output in RW to 242

1) CC24 = same issue with same patches, no matter what you/what DN values you put there

2) CCSG = works

looks like BasiCColor (company) did not test their wares ? may be the issue is with some file somewhere in "C:\Users\Public\Documents\basICColor Jobs\Jobs input 5" describing the target ?

Profile Edition/MakeinpuICC Question

Forums:

I have the process running to produce ICC camera profiles using a SpyderChecker24. One thing I notice in the SpyderChecker reference data file is that the illuminant is D65. However my test shot of the patches has been taken under approximately D55 illuminant. Should I be chromatically adapting the XYZ data in the SpyderChecker24.cie reference data file before runing MakeinputICC ?

Thanks Dave

about white balance

Forums:

Sorry if this topic had been discussed.

How does RawDigger determine the white Level and the black Level of a raw file ?
By reading the exif of the file when already calculated white/black levels are available ?
But, how about the case where they are unavailable ?
While calculating the black level with the help from optical black levels would be one of the best way, I don't have an idea on how to calculates the white level.
Could you elaborate on it ?

Many thanks in advance for your response.
